ALFE'S CAUSE

We are delighted to announce that our charity for 2017 is Alfe’s Cause.

Alfe’s Cause is a Northamptonshire charity that provide support for families of children who have been affected by cancer and other long term illnesses by arranging and funding monthly activity meetings, offering financial relief as well as providing essential emotional support through what are very difficult times.

In September 2009, Alfe was diagnosed with B cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and spent the next 8 months receiving chemotherapy to treat the cancerous tumour. Alfe has now made a full recovery and is determined help other children and families that are going through or have been through similar experiences. All money raised by Runs4Funds during 2017 will go directly to assist the incredible work Alfe’s Cause do.

THOMAS'S FUND

Runs4Funds worked with Thomas’s Fund throughout 2016. Born out of an incredibly heartbreaking situation, they now provide music therapy for children with life limiting illnesses or disabilities across Northamptonshire. Our fundraising saw efforts from within the community including The Steelbacks at The Raj, Weston Favell School Fete, and our very own Celebrity Cricket Game at the magnificent Althorp Estate.

OUR CHARITIES

A LIFE FOR LEWIS

Our very first Runs4Funds charity. During 2015, we raised money and awareness for the A Life For Lewis Appeal set up in aid of Lewis Herbert (15) who suffers from Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS) – an extremely rare and severe form of epilepsy. We helped make Lewis’ dream come true by reaching his goal of being able to have his very own wheelchair accessible sensory garden at home.
